Born in 1969, Jonathan grew up in London and took an early interest in art and design. He went on to study Graphic Information Design at Middlesex University acheiving a 2.1 Honours degree. Starting his professional career at Satchi and Satchi, he has since completed many commissioned projects from making animal heads for the panto company
Pantoloons, to posters, leaflets and invitations. Contemporary faces came about after his daughter, Phoebe, was born and Jonathan painted his first portrait of Pheobe sleeping as seen in the Gallery. He now lives and paints by the sea in Broadstairs. His portraits are either taken from an existing photograph of your choice or a photographic session can be arranged to produce an image to work from. Before work begins, the final image will be shown to the client for approval. Although primarily a portrait artist, other commissions, such as 'Iris', as seen in the Gallery, will be considered. All paintings use top quality stretched canvas and acrylic paints.
